Knicolle is Filipino, Spanish and Cherokee they identify as nonbinary. Knicolle has been representing the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s Foundation to raise awareness. Knicolle wanted to be involved in the documentary because there is much needed representation of queer filipinos.
“I’ve had to seek validation for how I identify as because I’m “too femme” to people to be queer. Being a part of this photo series shot down the feeling of being alone.”
